I have been asked this so many times by our Castle Jewels writing their guest lists
Truth be told: there is no distinctive answer its down to personal preference.
It depends on the overall mood that you want to encapsulate from your wedding day.
For example if you are having a down to earth country barn shindig with a buffet and lawn games you would say the style is definitely more: "child friendly"
than an intimate 30 guest candle lit dinner at a country chateau.
just because you have children doesn't necessarily mean all your guests must bring theirs too...
for those couples opting out just ensure the parents attending can have sufficient time to arrange suitable child care.
However should kids be allowed here are a few pointers to tame the tots!
Child friendly menu:
Honestly some children are super fussy eaters,
there is nothing wrong with being prepared for this, its just one day so on the menu offer up nuggets, veggie pizza and hot dogs
a full and happy child means no tears and tantrums
however do yourself a favour: AVOID SUGARY SWEETS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
a kids table:
speaking as a mum i want to enjoy weddings, i like the speeches and a day of Adulting fun so pop the kiddos on a table of their own do invest assigned qualified childcare staff for the duration of the wedding breakfast to wait on them and watch them and let mum and dad enjoy the meals (you spent hours planning) in peace.
having little ones yell: they need a poo during your speeches will not be necessary if you plan in advance
